Tabitha has been on staff since September of 2008. She works part-time during the week at Doggy Day Care and Dog Boarding Camp where she works morning hours. She also is a Pet Sitter where she makes regular pet care visits to peoples' homes to care for pets as well as general house chores as needed. Her knowledge of dog behavior is exceptional and working here at The Animal Nanny as given her great experience working with packs of dogs under our care.
Tabitha has one Chocolate lab named Maddie and together they have attended trick classes and obedience classes in levels 1 and 2. Maddie has earned her Canine Good Citizenship Award. She has two rescued house cats at home and she adds in house rabbits to the family. As an animal welfare activist she volunteers for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary during adoption fairs and fosters rescued animals for them. She works extensivley with Bunny Rescue where she fosters, spays/neuters, litter box trains and adopts bunnies to loving families has house pets. Tabitha has had many birds and large parrots and is a great educator about avians in training, care and diet. She had a Green Winged Mccaw she trained to do many tricks, one of which was roller skating! She is also currently working on Clicker training her rabbits to perform tricks as well. Tabitha lives here in Grand Junction and has a daughter.
Lexie works here at Doggy Day Care and Dog Boarding Camp, where she covers the afternoon and weekend shifts, and has been a team member since spring of 2010. Lexie comes from a full house of critters including her rescue dogs; G.dog a white Catahoula mix, Mr. a poodle/terrier mix and Paris a Pomeranian mix. She also has a cat, chinchillas, lizards, and snakes; just to name a few. Lexie was employed at Petco for many years where she worked extensively with birds, lizards, snakes, pocket pets, fish, including experience in salt water fish tanks and more! Among her many duties, she educated the public on diet, habitat, socializing, care, and responsible pet owership. Lexie is a Companion and Exotic Animal Nutrition Specialist, where she attended classes and seminars working for Petco. We have learned so much from Lexie working here at The Animal Nanny. Lexie lives here in Grand Junction with her husband and daughter.
Danielle has been on staff since October of 2008 and covers the Sunday shift each week ss well as extra shifts when needed, while during the week she works at a dentist office. From time to time she also spends her time as an in-home pet sitter for The Animal Nanny where she visits homes to care for pets while their owners are away. Danielle is very active and knows the importance of exercise, disipline and affection; all important aspects for a well balanced dog. Molly, the boston terrier pictured with her, was a rescue dog suffering from behaivor problems, she rehabilitated her with tons of exercise, socialization, and love and as a result has become a well rounded and balanced dog! Her other bully dog is a show dog and he has graduated from trick classes and is completing the last level of the advanced class in obedience training. He is also now working on his Canine Good Citizenship award! In addition to her dogs, she also has one house cat.
